The M1 is a horn design of ingenious simplicity and features a distinctive aesthetic that appeals to all who love exceptional design. In the mid-1980s, professional horn player and instrument developer Michael McElhinney created and patented a totally new valve constellation for the horn, which enhances the air flow and allows for a much longer lead pipe than that of typical double horns. My fascination for his idea and his enthusiasm to revive and perfect his original design led us to join forces and build a horn together. Two years of intensive work have brought sound and substance to this plan, in the unique form of the M1, an instrument with immediate response, excellent intonation and outstanding adaptability to individual tone concepts and ideals.
